7 Segment VFD

Seven segments per digit are used to display numerical information. Typical applications are clocks, instrumentation, counters, calculators, cash registers and scales.

Alphanumeric VFD

14 segments per digit are used to display upper case letters and numerical information. Typical applications are instrumentation, gaming machines, measurement, scales, point of sale terminals, credit card authorization terminals and vending machines.

Dot Matrix VFD

Generally 5x7dots per digit are used to display upper and lower case text, limited symbols, Japanese Katakana and numerical information. Typical applications are instrumentation, industrial control, measurement, scales, point of sale terminals, medical equipment and vending machines.
